Scarlet Alliance Peer Educator Online Training

The Scarlet Alliance Peer Educator Online Training site makes it easy for you to access learning at your pace and to achieve your Peer Educator goals – whether you choose to use it as a learning resource to improve your peer educator knowledge and skills, or if you decide to undertake all of the learning modules followed by the activities and submit for review you can achieve a Scarlet Alliance Certificate of Completion…… it’s up to you!

The self-paced course contributes important knowledge and skills that support your work. All of the material has been either written or selected by sex workers and peer educators, and the optional activities are reviewed by an experienced sex worker peer educator who provides feedback. Upon completion of all the activities you will receive an official Scarlet Alliance Certificate of Completion. Enrolment is open to members of Scarlet Alliance and is free.

The Scarlet Alliance online training aims to increase the knowledge and skills of sex worker peer educators through an online, accessible, relevant and current learning resource. Why enrol?

The online training provides an opportunity to learn new or hone existing skills in delivering peer education to sex workers.

Peer education continues to be a significant focus of the work of sex worker organisations and crucial to sex worker advocacy as well Australia’s National HIV, BBV and STI response.

It doesn’t matter if you’re just starting out at a sex worker organisation, thinking of gaining employment as a peer educator, providing informal peer education with your co-workers and friends, or have been employed in a peer educator role for many years; the online training has something to offer you.

The resources and links are constantly peer reviewed and updated to include new and exciting developments, so you can always check back in to see what’s changed!
