In late 2006 the West Australian Attorney General, Jim McGinty, announced that the sex industry laws would be changed. He formed a working party, including Giz Watson Greens MLC, Sue Ellery Labor MLC, Lisa Bastain of the WA Health Department, Kim Porter of the WA Police, and others. Sue Ellery chaired the group. They sought submissions from a variety of groups, including Scarlet Alliance. This report is the outcome of their consultation and investigative process, and was tabled to the WA Cabinet in January 2007. It may form the basis for law reform in Western Australia in 2007.
