Women who choose to migrate as prostitutes
should not be punished or assumed to be victims of
abuse. They should enjoy the same rights as other
immigrants. For many women, female migration
through prostitution is an escape from an
economically and socially impossible situation in one
country to hopes for a better situation in another.
