By being a member of Scarlet Alliance you are helping not only to fund our ongoing advocacy for the health, rights and safety of our community, but also to help steer the direction of our work.
To become a member you must be a current or former sex worker. You must also not currently be an owner, operator, manager or receptionist. If you are we reserve the right to cancel your membership without notice. Members rights, obligations, grievance and disciplinary procedures are outlined in the constitution.
Application for membership does not automatically grant you membership. First we will verify that your moving member agrees to move your membership, and then your application is reviewed by the Committee at their next meeting and decide whether to admit or reject the application. The decision of the committee members is final.
Memberships are annual from the date of approval (not application). Memberships paid by credit card, cash or bank transfer are renewed automatically, and you will receive an email 7 days prior to notify you (and give you the opportunity to cancel). Memberships with a fee waiver must be renewed manually each year, but you will receive an email reminding you. If your membership is unpaid your membership will be suspended 2 months after the due date, and you will cease to be a member 1 month later (3 months after the renewal date) if it remains unpaid.
If you wish to pay via cash, money order, cheque or bank transfer, please select the "Pay by Check" in the payment method. You will then need to contact us at members@scarletalliance.org.au to discuss payment options. Payments made by Credit Card are processed via Stripe and are secure.
